Mums before and after

My mum.  Before and after.  Selfies are so flattering lol x

New pix

So my lovely mummy with her shoulder length hair.  I put this up in a special bun.  No doughnut used lol.
Then there is my friend a colleague Charlotte.  We work together on weddings (she does hair) and she needed lashes for a night out.   Obviously I was happy to help xxx

Brush guide

Hi guys.   I thought I would post a little guide to makeup brushes.  I get lots of questions asking what each brush is best used for.  Some people have no idea where to start.  So the picture is of the basics.

(Left to right)
1 - I use this to apply, blend and buff my foundation.  It is so soft.  I put foundation on a palette/back of my hand, and lightly tap the brush so that it picks up some product.  You can then very gently apply to the face in circular motions.

2 - flat foundation brush.  Used to apply product foundation also.  This is good to get into harder to reach areas such as next to the nose.  I also use this for my concealer.  It's great for under the eyes.

3 - powder brush.  This is large and fluffy but still quite dense. It is great to apply setting powder, bronzer etc.

4 - blush brush.  This brush is great for powder blushes to dust onto the cheeks.  You can also use this also to contour.

5,6 & 7 - these are for the eyes. 1st is to apply the eyeshadow, 2nd to blend and 3 rd to apply gel eye liner.

This is just a basic guide, you can use any brush for whatever you are comfortable with.  You may personally prefer to use the brushes in a different way once you build your confidence or build up a bigger brush collection.  It Carlos depend on the actual products you use.  I am happy to advise on this.

Remember.  Cleanse brushes after each use and wash once a week to keep them clean, fresh and longer lasting!

Any questions please feel free to ask x

MAC bag

Saw this.  Loved it.   Went on maccosmetics.co.uk and it is sold out.  Gutted.   They do have other styles including some with lip glosses in but I wanted THIS on.  Typical.  Limited edition too :-(   If ANYONE finds it let me know xxx

I have lots of mac makeup bags as cases and they are very good quality.  I've had mine years an still going strong even the ones that are full to the brim lol.  Worth the money.......

Last pic just for fun

NEW HAIR

Well I think I started my mid life crisis at age.......................25.  I walked into my friends salon (The Hair & Nail Room) in Blackpool with long blonde hair.  I came out with very short, almost pixie, brown hair.  Since then I have had shaved bits, short on one side long on the other, colours like copper, bright red, navy blue, purple, brown, black, grey....you get the picture.  The only colour I hadn't been in pink....UNTIL NOW
Candyfloss pink all over and bright pink on the ends. Love it!!

NEW OBSESSION

Sparkling flavoured water mmm mmm.  I am so sick of tap water and not feeling like I'm having a proper drink.  Listen up, Asda special FOUR bottles for £1.50 and about 10 different flavours.  They are so refreshing and even better chilled. I love them all, some with Green Tea, Strawberry and Vanilla and many more!

BODY SHOP BODY BUTTER

Well if you have Facebook and Twitter you may have already seen these posts BUT, seeing as though I have not blogged for a long time I'm trying to catch up.

So, Body Shop, always loved it even as a kid.  I have not purchased anything for a while as I have been really stuck on my MAC Cosmetic products (which are fab) but its nice to have a change. I get frustrated when it comes to creams, lotions and butters as I have dry and very sensitive skin, but never had a problem with good old Body Shop. I was bought this Mango Body Butter by my Brother and Sister in law and I can tell you it is amazing.  Feels great on the skin and smells AMAZING! Forgot what I was missing, I will surely be buying some more!

CURRENT MAKEUP FAVE'S

So I have purchased some new makeup over last few months (obviously) I have ordered Illamasqua liquid liner in Scribe so that I can try some really funky eye looks.  No doubt pix will follow lol - link here - http://www.illamasqua.com/shop/products/sale-10-1/precision-inks/scribe-precision-ink it works over most colours and can also be used for nail art.  some of the images I have seen are amazing so cant wait to get creative...

Also from Illamasqua, I have been using a white concealer.  I have been applying this prior to my
foundation to help highlight above and below brows and on the cheekbones.  I really like it and it has lasted a good amount of time which is a bonus,  here is the link -

I don't know if I ever mentioned another product I LOVE, MAC mineralise skin finish in soft and gentle.  I use this on my cheekbones after I have set my foundation and then use MAC warm soul blush powder to contour.  I love this look for a night out but can look quite heavy sometimes. I don't tend to use the white concealer on cheek bones if I am doing this look. Again, here are the links for a nosey..
Soft and Gentle - out of stock at the moment but the good thing is you can put in your email address and they will notify you when it is back in stock....RESULT - http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/products/spp/shaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CAT159&PRODUCT_ID=PROD782&SKU_ID=SKU9448

Have a look at these products guys and let me know what you think, any questions or other recommendations feel free to get in touch.  Ciao for now x

CATCH UP

Hi Guys.  My goodness how long has it been.  So sorry...... At first I could not post from the iPad but hey, now I can 😉.

SOOO,  generally nothing TOO exciting has been happening, just your general makeovers on me beauties for nights out, proms etc.  Got lots of weddings booked in which I am so excited about, I love being part of a brides special day.  The atmosphere is electric.

Will post some pictures in another post from the laptop (can't from this ggrr) so you can have a nosey........ Let me know what you think! And don't forget there are albums on my Facebook link to the right >>>>>>>

So one of my clients messages me, this morning funnily enough,
"Sarah, you will never guess what I have done.....slept in my makeup"
oh dear I say that's not good lol, but we have all done it.   Remember one and all, it ages your skin by 8 days.  So I advised her to do what I would do, which is as follows, take 3000mg of oil of evening primrose capsules (I usually have 2000mg but you can take up to 3000mg per day) and a cod liver oil and a multi vit (I have these everyday) and LOTS of water. Another thing I advised was to burst an evening primrose capsule and massage into eyes and face.  I know I'm a pain with these capsules but they really work. Try it!!!!

I have started taking some pro biotic eleven capsules.  These are great for IBS and supporting the bowel function.  I have not touched a laxative in weeks.  All in all this has helped my skin, moods, energy levels and I generally feel healthier and ready to face the world.  I don't feel lethargic and bloated all the time.  GENIUS Lol x here is a link if you are interested http://www.ecn-bodyworks-nutrition.co.uk/probiotic_eleven_(90).htm
